Recern Workspace

Recern Workspace 1.0.0 is a desktop app for understanding databases. Connect to PostgreSQL, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB, ClickHouse, Cassandra, Qdrant, OpenSearch, Redis, Valkey and Dragonfly, or open SQLite and Recern Vector files. Inspect activity, locks, slow queries, indexes and memory, with findings that point to the view that explains them.

Production connections start in Safe Mode. The console also keeps query history, saves named queries and exports results; connections can be organized into your own groups.

PostgreSQL's Queries view needs pg_stat_statements; its Vectors view appears when pgvector is installed. Redis-family vector views depend on the server's search module or vector-set commands. MySQL diagnostic views report missing permissions or unavailable Performance Schema data in the affected view.

Coming later: Azure SQL, DynamoDB, Databricks SQL, Oracle Database, IBM Db2 and SAP HANA. These six integrations are planned for releases after 1.0. See all databases and the roadmap.

MongoDB, ClickHouse, Cassandra, Qdrant, OpenSearch and Microsoft SQL Server consoles are always read-only. App statistics are optional, disabled by default, and enabled only with permission in Settings → Privacy. See shortcuts and settings for the data shared and how to turn it off.
